Moi, arriver chez nous Samedi le 16 Juillet!

Me, arrived home on Saturday July 16! 

                                                                

 Je me suis rendu chez nous sain et sauf! Les journees ont ete longues, mais j'ai quand meme pu rester en majorite sur des route secondaires. Si il y a quelque chose que j'aurais fais de different, ca serais d'avoir pris plus long de vacance pour pouvoir mieux visiter le Canada en m'en revenant. Je me suis apercu qu'il y a beaucoup d'endroit que j'aurais pu avoir eu visiter sur des nouvelles routes!Il faudra tout simplement que je le fasse un autre foi!
  On m'a demander ce que j'ai aimer le plus de tout mon voyage,la seule reponse que j'ai, est tout simplement TOUT! On a eu un "blast" chez mon freer Rejean, ma soeur Elmina, et nos amis de Folsom, la famille Rowe. Merci,  on vous en doit!!

 Made it home safe and sound! The ride home had long days,but was still able to stay mostly on secondary road,with a few miles on highways. If there was something I would have done differently on my trip is give myself more time to ride through Canada. I realise that we do have alot of beautiful roads to travel on! Even though Manitoba and Saskatchewan have alot of straight roads and alot of fields, I personaly enjoyed the different scenery. I will have to take another trip sometime and simply enjoy our country bettrer instead of just drve through and say that I did it!
 I was ask what i like best from my tip, and the only answer I have, is Everything!! I would change anything just add more time, that it!
 We had a blast at my brother Rejean and sister Elmina, and our good friends in Folsom California the Rowe family! Thanks we owe you guys big time!!!

Heading for Home!!

Joline a  bien "tuffer" jusqu'a Calgary!Pas mal impress et FIER quelle a pu endurer ca juqu"a la! J'pense qu'elle a faite une bonne decision de prendre l'avion a Calgary, parcque les journee de "riding" sont longue. 

 So de Calgary j'ai embarquer sur la route 1 pour ensuite embarquer sur la 41 pour aller voir Cypress Hill. Je me suis rendu jusqu'a la 501 pour aller est mais la route etait vraimant pas belle alors j"ai retourner a la 1 pour embarquer sur la 19 sud pour aller joindre la 13 est qui change a la 2 en Manitoba jusqua Oak Bluff Manitoba. Embarquer sur la 3 pour ensuite embarquer sur McGillivary Blvd jusqu"a Winnipeg.

We made it to Calgary!! It was great to see my sister and her family!The kids have grown quite a bit.In the picture below,Lance is showing us how we had to start Dad's old tractor when the starter was broken!!

Dans cette prochaine photo,cette vielle auto fonctionne encore! Le dernier homme qui l'avait, a fait un grand voyage avec ou et quand,il faudra que je fasse la recherche pour confirmer mais je pense que c'etait en 2006.

In this next pic, the car actualy works!The last man who had it did a big trip in it before he past away.I'll have to get the proper info on the year that he did but 2006 sounds familiar.

Imaginer vous de voir un bison avec des cornes de cette largeur longtemps passer. On est aller voir les "Badlands" a Drumheller, Alberta. C'etait extrement impressionnant, tout l'histoire dans le musee des dinosaurs.

Imaging seeing a buffalo with the size of these horns like it was a longtime ago! We went to visit the "Badlands" and the dinosaurs museum. It was extremely impressive! Loved it!

Calgary Bound!!!

   On est parti de Vancouver pour Calgary lund le 4 juillet pour aller chez ma soeur Elmina. On a embarquer sur la  route 7 pour se rendre a la route 3 a Hope, BC. De la on a suis la 3 jusqu'a Keremeos, pour embarquer sur le chemin Olalla pour joindre la 97 nord. Suis la 97 pour ensuite prendre la 97A jusqu'a la Trans Canadienne 1. Ensuite on s'est rendu a la 93 pour aller a Jasper. On est ensuite redescendu la 93 pour rejoindre la 1A jusqu'a Banff et ensuite la 1 de nouveau pour se rendre a Calgary!

   We left Vancouver on the 4th of July for Calgary to go see my sister Emina. We got on route 7 to go hit route 3 by Hope, BC. Then we followed 3 to take Olalla Rd at Keremeos. From there we hit 97 North up to 97A so we can make ti to The Trans Canada Hwy, route 1. From there we drove up to Lake Louise to take 93 North to Jasper. Then back down 93 to take 1A down to Banff, and then route 1 up to Calgary.

On a laisser Vancouver Lundi matin le 4 juillet, la journee de la fete de mon frere Yvon. Rejean est venu avec nous sur sa moto pour environ 100 kms, j'pense qu'il a poigner la piqure de moto!Il s'arange tres bien!

We left Vancouver Monday morning,on the 4th of July for Calgary. My brother Rejean decided to follow us for about 100 kms or more. He is realy enjoying his new toy and doing extrmely well as a new rider!

Cette prochaine photo demantre comment le glacier a fondu depuis 1993, la derniere foi que je suis venu! En 1993 on a marcher dessus a partir de ce point, environ. Maintenant il a fondu jusqu'a peu pres 200 a 300 metre plus loin. Il y a maintenant une petite riviere devant le glacier qui nous empeche d'embarquer dessus, a moins que tu suivre un guide en faisant un detour. Vous pouvez voir la riviere en bas a gauche dans la prochaine photo avec Joline.

I was here in 1993,you can see how much the Athabaska glacier has melted since then. It is about 200 to 300 behind where I'm standing in this picture. You can no longer walk on the glacier without a guide, as there is a river between where I'm standing and the glacier. You can see the river on the botom left of the next photo with Joline in it!

On est arreter pour une "bite" et on penssais que nos amis Marc et Sonia s'etaient decider de venir nous joindre!!! Il y a du monde qu'ont des bons gouts hein Marc!!!

We decide to stop for a bite, and we thaught our friends Marc and Sonia had decide to join us!!!

 Malgre qu'il y avait du tres beau paysage panoramique, un de nos favoris etait d'avoir vu cet ours brun, grizzly! Il agissait comme si on etait pas la et se regalait de fruits sauvages! C'etait tres beau a voir!!! Il etait seulement qu'a 30 metres du chemin environ!

Although the panoramic view is incredible all over, one of our best was to see this brown bear,Grissly! He knew we were there but the berries were way more interesting!!! When we first saw him, he was at about 30 meters from the road!

A storm was coming as we were up Sulfur mountain and we got the chance to see a rainbow!

On s'est join a Ken et sa famille,(Yvonne,Veronique et Kimi le beau petit chien) au camping a Banff, un ami d'ouvrage qui sont eux aussi en voyage a traverser l'Amerique du Nord! Ils semblent avoir ben du fun!! Merci pour le bon petit dejeuner Yvonne!

We join Ken, a friend from work,and his family(Yvonne,Veronique and Kimi the cute dog) for breakfast at the Banff camground. They are also on a six week trip across Canada and the US! From what we could witness,they are having a blast just like us! Thanks for the great breakfast Yvonne!!!

Another super nice couple, Charles and Beth, that we met when using a ferry between route 101 to 5, just above Seatle! I think Charles wanted to bring my bike home with him! They treated us to a nice mexican diner! Thanks again Charles and Beth, it was great to have met you!

 On s'est finalement rendu a Vancouver,chez mon frere Rejean! C'etait ben l'fun que c'etait nous qui le visitais pour un change! Ils nous a traiter comme de la royautee!!! La photo si-dessous a ete prise sur le "suspension bridge" a Capilano!

 Cet photo a ete prise a Steveston, en dehors de Vancouver. On est aller en moto avec Rejean,sur sa nouvelle moto et ses bons amis Eric et Jen qui viennent juste de demenager a Vancouver quelque mois passer. Fun and beautiful ride!!!

 Rejean nous a garder une grande surprise, je ne savais pas qu'il s'etait acheter une moto!Une belle Honda Shadow! On a passer toute une journee en moto, j'ai ben aimer ca, c'etait l'fun de fair d'la moto avec un de mes freres!

 Une bonne idee de Rejean de prendre une photo de nos embrages pendant le coucher de soleil.

De 40C a 7C!!! Brrrrrrr!

  On voulait visiter "Crater Lake" en pensant qu'il y aurait un peu de neige,mais avec jusqu'a 12 pieds de niege par endroit et de la pluie, la seule chose qu'on a vu etait du brouillard! Ca ne vallait meme pas le peine d'esseiller de prendre des photos du lac! On a ecouter un petit film de 20 mins, qui nous expliquait qu'il y avait des "snow drift" de 20 a 40 pieds de haut en hivers. Ca prend a peu pres 4 mois au travaillants de nettoyer les route pour ouvrir le parc pour l'ete!!Alors si jamais vous penser d'y venir, je suggere que ce soit a la fin juillet ou en aout!
  
   We wanted to visit Crater Lake but the rain and the snow kind of ruined it for us! The two combined just created a big fog, totaly impossible to even see the lake a little bit. There was still some snow banks of up to 12 ft high at some places. A video that we watch explain that snow drifts can build up between 20 to 40 ft high at some places and that it takes about four months for the work crew to clean up the roads for the summer! So if you have plans to visit this place, I suggest at the end of July and August.

 Just to show you what we had to ride in passing through this place! Even the roads looks icy!!!

  On est maintenant a Portland Oregon, moin de 6 hres de Vancouver Canada. Rejean nous a suggerer un chemin ou deux qu'on devrait fair en montant a Vancouver,alors on va "checker" ca!

  We are now in Portland Oregon, less than 6 hrs from Vancouver Canada. My brother Rejean suggested a road or two that we should check out while we drive up!
